1. Berlin Philharmonic

Although it can sometimes be difficult to get a ticket to an event because of the popularity, you won’t be disappointed if you are lucky enough to secure one. With amazing acoustics and a unique design to the building to give a richer sound, this is possibly one of the best attractions in the area. There is an upper and lower level as well as an outdoor area where the orchestra plays.

2. Pergamon Museum

There are numerous treasures in this art and history museum that you would not think of seeing. When you go, you should purchase a three-day pass so that you have plenty of time to see the exhibits. Walls seem to stretch for miles as you look up at the art that they contain. The reconstructions of the Gates of Babylon as well as the Greek Market are outstanding. 3. Palace of Tears

A small museum, it is full of the rich history of Germany. It only takes a few hours to see everything in the museum, so it is a good place to go if it is raining. There is a history of the Cold War and details about how people tried to flee Berlin when it was divided.

4. Treptower Park

A massive monument with stretching steps, this is an attraction that you shouldn’t miss. The lines can be long, but you can purchase tickets to move through a little quicker. Scripts can be read on the monument, and when you stand between the kneeling soldiers you will feel a sense of gratitude for the sacrifices that were made for the development of Berlin. There is an amazing view of the soldier and child as you walk behind the soldiers kneeling.

5. Potsdam’s Gardens

A large fountain is situated in the middle of the gardens. There are several smaller fountains through the park. As you walk along the pathways you can hear birds chirping and see beautiful flowers. You can spend the entire day simply observing the beauty of nature. A palace is on the premises of the gardens. The best time to visit is during the week when it is not as crowded.

6. Brandenburg Gate

This is a popular attraction for many tourists and local residents alike. It is a place where you might shed a tear or tear as you think about the symbolism of the gate for the city. Try to visit at night so that you can see the gate illuminated. This will provide a beauty like none other and is a wonderful time to take pictures. In order to get the best wow factor, you should enter from the underground station.

7. The Holocaust Memorial

There is very little to say about this memorial as the name speaks for itself. It is a somber area where hundreds, if not thousands, or people are buried who died during the Holocaust. A visitor’s center is located underground that has more details about the events that unfolded during that time.

8. Olympic Stadium

If you want to see a massive playing field, then this would be where to visit. This is where numerous soccer games are played as well as other sporting events. It has a history of being used in 1936 for the Nazi Olympics.

9. Berlin Cathedral

A Protestant cathedral, this is one of the most well-known buildings in Berlin. The mural on the outside of the church as you enter the front door is stunning. Altars inside are beautifully constructed. Below the main floor are tombs of the former royalty of Germany.

10. Berlin Zoo

When looking or a fun attraction for the family, the Berlin Zoo is your best option. This is a large zoo with numerous animals from across the world. It is one of Germany’s oldest zoos and has 14,000 animals. Many of the exhibits are open air so that you get a stunning look at how the animals live. The most popular animal exhibit is the polar bear, so it is a good idea to make this one of the first stops of your day. Food stands, cafes and souvenir shops are located throughout the zoo.
